I started DJ-ing in 1990 doing Party’s for friends and family while I was studying.

I’m a Musician and when I was doing gigs with my friends I would play music in-between sets sorting out the sound which I was studying at the time “Sound Engineering” and this would keep people entertained, I was approached by one of the mangers from the Student Union (SU) Bar in Manchester who asked me if I was interested in doing a regular gig so this is where it started.

I would do an Indie night once a week. This became so popular that people from different Colleges and Uni’s around the North West would come. Stockport College asked me to do a night there with their resident upstairs Jonny Durex along with their regular downstairs DJ Tony who happened to be my friend.

By the Mid-Late 90’s I got into mixing and Club DJ-ing. My friend Rob who was already doing this type of work asked if I could do a few spots at Sanky’s Soap. This then led onto me working at different clubs in Manchester;  Fab cafe, 5th Ave, Tiger Tiger to name a few, as well as doing a  few nights at Liverpool’s Cream.  Due to my love of all music, I wanted to broaden my experience and knowledge. I started to do Rock, Soul etc so I work at Jilly’s “Rock world”, The Ritz and the rest as they say is history.

Over the years, I’ve done session work with various bands and musicians. During this time I would MC, Host the night, I am also a Vocalist and therefore am no stranger to talking and using a microphone I have Also done Many Dinner and Award night, shows etc.

In 2006 two friends and I decided to work together and formed Starstruck Productions doing Party’s for Clients, Shows etc. We started doing Mobile Karaoke and disco’s within various locations around the Northwest and the Stockport area from the S.U Bar, to pubs and clubs. The Bulls Head Stockport Market To name a few, I first met Gary From Absolute DJ’s when I was working at the Hope Inn pub, Stockport and he was across the road at Stockport Labour Club. It was also around this time that I met Abbey Roadz an amazing vocal artist.

I worked with them until 2010 when family circumstances made me take a temporary step back. On and off for the next few years, along with my day job, I helped Abbey Roadz on the road hosting his shows and doing sound Engineer.

We did a big Trade event at Bolton F.C over a few days, in which We Planned the whole Event form Music to Entertainment and hosted the day’s activates.

By the end of 2013 Gary, who I had meet sometime before asked me to do some work for Absolute DJs. This was great as I was just getting starting up my own company “Spotlight Entertainment” as I wanted to get back on the road.

So the first gig I did for Gary was a School Disco which Over the last 6 years I have done lots of different types of work in various venues; Weddings, Pubs, Clubs, Clients events, Birthdays, Karaoke Nights, Theme Nights, Hotels, Hosting Award Nights, Dinner Night to name a few. We still work together to this today.

I come from a Musical/Drama Background and if I can make something happen I will do my best to make sure people have a good time.
